How to Disassemble an Acer Aspire Computer?

It is a series of personal computers from Acer which is specially designed for small business use. This particular desktop computer has many models with slightly different case designs with parts that may not work together.

The steps given below show how to disassemble an Acer Aspire computer:

 

Procedure to disassemble an Acer Aspire computer:

Step 1: Unscrew the fasteners from the back side of the computer to remove the side panel. This needs to be done so that you have access to the internal components of the computer. Now, move the side panel and separate it with your computer.

Step 2: Detach the screws which connect AGP or PCI card with the case. Pull the AGP or PCI card gently from the motherboard and keep them aside.

Note: Depending on the computer system, these cards can be reused.

Step 3: Now, unscrew the DVD drive or CD-ROM. There are two screws on each side of the drive.

Note: Make sure that data and power cable are removed from the back side of the drive.

Step 4: Now, remove the screws which are attached to the hard disk drive. Make sure that data cable and power cable are removed.

Step 5: Remove the motherboard if it's not going to be used.

Note: In case the computer is being rebuilt with the new components, then you need not remove anything. The motherboard will use metal screws and plastic connectors.

Step 6: Gently remove metal screws and plastic connectors. Put the case on the floor so that case is flat when removing the motherboard. Take the motherboard out of the case gently.

Step 7: Open the screws on the back side of the panel where exhaust fan is placed. Now, pull unplug the power supply from the case. The Acer Aspire has been completely disassembled.
