some ways to reduce mobile app uninstall rate!

Mobile app production has been increasing quickly with the digital era. For every small work, we have plenty of mobile apps available in the store. Still, thousands of apps are joining in the store every year. The competition has increased and it’s very difficult to stand by the idea of the mobile app in this competition. Many mobile app development companies are introducing unique mobile apps with new features to enhance the user interaction and customer experience.

As of now, there are almost 2 million apps on Apple store and 3.8 million apps on Google play store. If you want your app on that million apps that’s easy, but if you want to be on customers mobile that’s the difficult job. And now, coming to the success of the mobile app. The success of an app is determined by the app usage and uninstall rate. A high uninstall rate is a signal of disconnection of users and it’s the time to know why users are uninstalling your app. According to a survey, 78% of users uninstall an app within 90 days. So, make every effort to decrease the uninstall rate of your app. Here are the reasons why users uninstall apps and the solutions to that.

  1. Lack of User-friendly interface:

The first thing a user observes in a mobile app is the User interface. It’s a minimum requirement that an app is with the good user-friendly interface, everybody looks for a good UI, and nobody wants complex apps. It’s okay to follow the traditional way of UI like every app but doesn’t make it complex instead just to look different. Keep it simple. Remember, the first impression is the last impression and work on it.

  1. App Performance:

In this digital era, we are using smartphones like 6GB, 8GB for the best performance of the phone, even after having the best processors and chipsets no one expect the slow app performance. If it happens then the interest in using that mobile app will be automatically decreased. So, don’t take a chance, take care of app performance. Keep improving the functionality with every update. The app should engage with the customer completely.

  1. Annoying Notifications:

No user finds the app notifications very interesting. Limited notifications are enough, more than that is not good. Stop sending notifications to the customers for every hour, it doesn’t make sense. Instead, the customer gets irritated with the annoying notification and leads to uninstall that app. So, don’t send annoying notifications. And stop too much of “Rate This App” popups because there is a chance of giving negative feedback. Stop showing “Rate This App” prompts once the customer did his Rating.

  1. Feedback and App updates:

You should take seriously the Feedback of customers. Reply for their feedbacks and appreciate for their feedback whether it’s negative or positive. Try to give importance to their suggestions and advice. Come up with their ideas and make the app more user-friendly for every update. Understand the main issues and update your app regularly with the bug fixes and with the new features. But too often updates will irritate, keep in mind.

  1. Analyse major drop-off points:

Start analysing the users at any given point in time, total traffic, and the number of downloads, retention rate, and much more.  That can help you to know what is the major drawback and issue and you come to know how to fix the issue and how to reduce the uninstall rates accordingly. Every step you take have to reduce the uninstall rates. Go ahead.

Final words:

Everything counts for a great overall experience of users. Mobile app development may be a task for you and the actual challenge is providing app and making user and retain for a long time. Starting a forum on app services is also a good idea. For the user's doubts, it will help through the discussions.
