The main course book is highly comprehensive and a fun read, but its not fluff-filled junk. Early on you are introduced a bit more to the authors on highintensityworkouts.org and how the F4X protocol works. You will then determine what your goals are and pick a phase to start with. You can follow each phase all the way through if you are just starting out, or you can pick-up in second, or third phases if you are already at an intermediate or advanced level of fitness.
