The cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale) is a tropical evergreen tree that produces the cashew seed and the cashew apple. The tree can grow as high as 14 m (46 ft), but the dwarf cashew, growing up to 6 m, has proven more profitable, with earlier maturity and greater yields. The cashew seed is often considered a nut in the culinary sense; this cashew nut is eaten on its own, used in recipes, or processed into cashew cheese or cashew butter. Like the tree, the nut is often simply called a cashew.

The species is native to Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America, including northeastern Brazil. 

Raw cashews are 5% water, 30% carbohydrates, 44% fat, and 18% protein. In a 100 gram reference amount, raw cashews provide 553 Calories, 67% of the Daily Value (DV) in total fats. Therefore based from the cashews nutritional facts are a very nutritious food that can give you stunning medical advantages and health benefits.

It is proven that they can be great for natural eye-protection it helps for prevention of numerious blood deseases, strenghtens your bones and it event helps you with weight loss if consumed properly.

However there can be some downsides to this and sometimes they can be risky for consuming. Cashew nuts also contain phytates that can make it troublesome for your body to be able to absorb the minerals and vitamins that the nuts have. However, Soaking nuts can reduce the phytate content.They have a noticeable amount of oxalic acid, and if not consumed in moderate amounts, they can be an issue for people who have kidney ailments, and those who are at risk of getting kidney stones.
