Today is World Heart Day 2022

Today is World Heart Day, which promotes global awareness of the causes and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The World Heart Federation honours "individuals from all areas of life who have demonstrated devotion, courage, empathy, and care in regard to heart health" as heart heroes as part of various initiatives. It's an honour to have been featured this year because of our work promoting lifestyle interventions, such as boosting physical activity, leveraging technology to help people live healthier lives.

Since heart disease is the leading cause of mortality, it's critical now more than ever to learn and spread the word about easy strategies to maintain a healthy heart. There are various strategies to implement little modifications that can encourage you to move more.

Here are some additional activities to try out:

·       Move your body by mowing the yard or raking the leaves outside.

·       When you're out on a walk by yourself, with pals, or with your dog, pick up the pace.

·       Make it a walking meeting by donning sneakers; both you and your co-workers will benefit from the exercise.

·       Enrol in a fitness class! You can earn 90 Heart Points for a 45-minute indoor cycling class.

·       Spend a few minutes practising easy exercises like jumping jacks, squats, wall sits, push-ups, and planks before you take a shower.

The best part is that you don't need to visit a gym or purchase expensive equipment. Simply moving more might have cumulative health benefits. We challenge you to look for ways to earn more Heart Points for World Heart Day that fit into your schedule or consult a cardiologist in Indore for more healthy heart tips.

The Evolution of Heart Day

World Heart Day was established in 1999 by the World Heart Federation (WHF) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Antoni Bayés de Luna, the WHF president from 1997 to 1999, is credited with coming up with the concept.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 17 million people worldwide die from cardiovascular diseases each year. This is also the leading cause of death worldwide. Coronary heart disease and stroke were the main causes of most of these fatalities. Consult a cardiologist for coronary heart disease treatment in Indore.

Despite the fact that World Heart Day wasn't supposed to be observed until 2011, it is nonetheless remembered every year on the final Sunday in September. Every year, around 90 nations take part in World Heart Day. World Heart Day has demonstrated to be a successful method for disseminating knowledge about cardiovascular disorders.
